Weekly Visitation Night
Monday nights @ 6:30pm
We are always blessed by those who visit our church! Many families are looking for a church home, a place to worship and meet new people. Many today are looking for a ministry that they can become a part of. When someone visits our church, it is important that we make them feel welcome and follow up with visitation.
When people join our church, they do so because they feel the presence of the Lord and they want to become a part of the life of the church. It is important to visit with them and deliver a, "New Members Packet," to their home and explain the different ministries of our church, Sunday School organization and answer any questions they may have. This is crucial!
Elderly & Homebound
One of the most important ministries of our church is to help care for those in our community who are elderly, dealing with sickness or suffering from bereavement. This is one area of our lives where the work is never done, because the greatest thing a Christian can do is to help meet the needs of others! A personal visit, a card or phone call does a great deal to lift up and encourage others.
Church members become inactive from time to time for a variety of reasons, but the #1 reason is they simply need a word of encouragement that people really do care about them! There is nothing that can take the place of a personal visit to show others that we do care and that they are missed. The most important thing in this life is to live in obedience to God and have fellowship with other believers! Is this a ministry for you?
Someone has well-said:
"We must get up off our seats, onto our feets and out into the streets."
